| Back from China and ready to start |
We returned from Beijing the last week in April. I have been spending my time preparing the movies for you to watch. Basically this course is divided into three parts: the movie blog, the music blog, and the classroom lecture/presentations. I will be running the movie blog while my brother in Anadarko, Oklahoma will be handling the music blog. He has been working on it all break so you need to go check it out as soon as you can. Access it on the right side of this blog. You will need to read his input and then follow the directions that you find there.
As stated earlier, the first three out of four days will be at the computer lab to set up blogs for each of you. I will have a sheet for you to sign on to with your blog name and your password. I will be standardizing the blogs so that you will be able to access all the blogs from your own blog. Be thinking about what name you want for your blog.
Our classes will be concentrating on our text which consists of primary documents from the US Archives. You will be introduced to the actual documents that relate directly to the movies you will be watching. I will also have history documentaries for us to watch during class time. You will be required to research and make presentations (usually in groups) of various subjects and personalities we study.
